Design, test and deploy an agent across web chat or voice, grounding answers in an approved knowledge base and routing exceptions to people. The current public pricing page offers a free trial and usage-based or quoted plans, without a stable numeric self-serve table.
Voiceflow is a visual platform for building customer-facing conversational agents. A team can structure business logic and prompts, add a knowledge base, test a conversation, then deploy it to chat or voice channels. The key design choice is what the agent is allowed to answer from approved content, what it may do through integrations and when it must hand a case to a person. A nice-sounding response is not enough if it invents a policy or fails to complete a customer request.
Build a pilot around one real support path, such as explaining a return procedure and creating a ticket when the answer needs account-specific review. Add only current help articles or approved URLs to the knowledge base. Voiceflow's own explanation of retrieval warns that poor source chunks and retrieval can produce confidently wrong answers; test paraphrased questions, out-of-date policy wording and deliberately unanswerable cases. Inspect the agent trace and the created ticket, not just the chatbot transcript.
The public pricing page changed its presentation. It now distinguishes agency/partner workspaces and business deployments, mentions a free trial without a card, usage-based billing for partners, and requests contact for business pricing. It does not expose a reliable numeric tier table in the public page reviewed here. Therefore estimate cost with a bounded pilot and obtain the account-specific quote or current checkout for the target number of agents, channels, users and interactions. Avoid treating an older blog or legacy Pro-plan figure as the current contract.

Map conversations and business logic so designers and support owners can review how a question reaches an answer or handoff.
Upload documents, add approved URLs or paste content; test retrieval against the original policy rather than relying on fluent text.
Choose the answer model and instructions for tone and boundaries, then compare cost and accuracy on the same test set.
Deploy a common agent across supported webchat or phone flows while verifying channel-specific escalation and consent.
Run realistic conversations, inspect decisions and update the source material before expanding the supported topics.
Choose one measurable problem
Load and inspect sources
Test normal and failure cases
Deploy gradually and measure
Write success criteria, approved answers, handoff rules and the customer channel for a narrow pilot.
Add current articles or URLs, remove superseded policy text and test whether key passages are retrievable.
Run paraphrases, missing data and sensitive questions; verify answers, traces, tickets and human escalation.
Begin with low traffic, measure true resolution and cost, then expand only when the source owners approve results.

The current official pricing page promotes a free trial without a credit card. Agencies and partners are directed toward transparent usage-based billing, multi-client workspace management and white-label handoff. Businesses are directed to request pricing for broader deployments. The public page does not display a stable numerical price ladder suitable for a general quote.
For a budget, test the actual mix of webchat or voice minutes, model provider, knowledge-base size, integrations, team access and support level. Record the pilot's usage and ask Voiceflow for the current account-specific plan before committing to a production rollout. Model and channel costs should be reviewed separately where the quote distinguishes them.
No. Its current product covers conversational agents across chat and voice, with knowledge, business logic and integrations.
Yes. Official materials describe documents, URLs and pasted content as sources for retrieval-based answers.
The public pricing page advertises a free trial without a credit card.
The public page reviewed here does not give a universal numeric table; obtain the current workspace quote or checkout.
The product offers both channels, but test channel-specific behavior, consent and handoff before rollout.
Review the answer and any completed downstream action against the original customer need, not only a deflected ticket count.

Voiceflow describes knowledge-base retrieval as chunking, embeddings, search and generation. A model can still answer from an irrelevant or outdated chunk, so evaluation should include retrieval quality and a visible fallback. The agent builder and a ready-made helpdesk are different operational choices; plan who owns knowledge updates and human escalations.
Customer conversations may include names, orders and health or financial details. Limit source and integration access, minimize requested personal information, and test where transcripts, call audio and traces are retained. Require human review for decisions that can change an account or promise a remedy.
