A live meeting transcription tool with a browser extension and transcript-based AI assistance. Free users get 10 meetings and 5 AI credits each month, with separate counters for capture and analysis.
Tactiq is designed for people who want to read and keep a meeting transcript without adding a separate bot to the browser meeting. It places live text alongside the conversation and saves the result for later review. AI tools can then organize the text into summaries, action lists or answers to specific questions.
The Free plan is ongoing and includes ten meeting transcriptions plus five AI credits per month. These are separate allowances: using up AI credits does not itself consume the remaining transcription allowance. Current documentation says most AI actions on a single meeting share one AI credit, which makes careful follow-up on a selected meeting more useful than assuming every question costs another credit.

Example prompt or task: From this transcript, separate confirmed decisions from suggestions. List unanswered questions and next steps with supporting wording. If no owner or date was agreed, say that it remains unassigned.
This is a suggested review prompt. Output still needs human checking before it becomes a commitment or an external message.
Meeting credits and AI credits are separate. They renew on the signup-date cycle and do not roll over.
Free provides ten meetings and five AI credits each month. The renewal date follows the account’s signup day, and unused allowances do not roll over. The current AI-credit guide says most actions on the same meeting use a maximum of one credit across the extension, web app and connected AI surfaces.
Analyzing several different meetings consumes a credit for each applicable meeting. Running out of AI credits leaves existing AI conversations available and does not by itself stop transcription within its separate allowance. Paid tiers expand capacity and collaboration; review their exact limits before assuming that unlimited transcription also includes unlimited AI.
Yes, subject to the monthly meeting and AI allowances.
For most actions, one meeting shares a single AI credit.
No. They reset on the monthly cycle.
Yes, while the separate transcription allowance remains.
The product says it saves text, not audio recordings.
The current setup guide says they are not normally required.
The guide says a completed live transcript cannot be retranscribed simply by changing its language setting.

The documented Google Meet path runs in a desktop browser. Tactiq also documents other meeting platforms and additional app workflows, but device and platform requirements differ. Start from the specific setup guide for the environment you actually use.
Tactiq says its live meeting transcription does not record or store the audio: the retained result is text. That reduces the need for an audio archive but also means you should not expect a replayable recording to resolve every transcription error later. Check crucial numbers and names while the conversation is still fresh.
Not adding a bot does not remove the need to inform participants about transcription. Review meeting notices and organizational rules, and avoid sending confidential transcripts to integrations without permission.
Tactiq’s privacy center describes data controls and its use of AI providers. The transcript is still sensitive information even when audio is not retained. Review cloud storage, AI processing and sharing settings separately, and remove access when a recipient no longer needs the meeting.
