Introduction and execution environment ↗
Give Manus a task and let it plan, browse and work with files in a virtual computer. It is designed for multi-step projects that end in a report, presentation, website or other deliverable.
Manus connects reasoning with an execution environment. Rather than stopping at a proposed outline, an agent can use tools and files to work toward a concrete result. The current product presents paths for research, slides, websites, design and media work, with different task requirements and resource costs.
It is most useful when the result can be described and checked: for example, a comparison of five products with dated sources and a downloadable table. Define the acceptance criteria before starting. A finished agent run still needs a review of its evidence, calculations and files.

Manus works with a sandboxed computer, browser and files. This supports tasks that need several tools rather than a single text response.
Describe the desired result, constraints and available material. For a large project, ask for an initial outline so missing inputs are discovered early.
Use research capabilities to gather and organize information. Ask for source links and observation dates when comparing products or other changing facts.
Slides and document-oriented work can produce material for further editing. Open the actual deliverable and check layout, calculations and missing sections.
The product offers a browser operator and integration paths such as Slack and API access. Check the exact access and plan requirements for your chosen workflow.

Specify the format, audience, deadline and what a successful result must contain. Add exclusions such as no purchases or external messages.
Attach the relevant brief or links, identify the authoritative sources, and separate facts from assumptions.
Test one representative part of the project. Inspect progress and credit use before expanding to a larger job.
Open every final artifact, sample-check cited claims, and save an accepted version outside the task workspace.

Manus has free credits and paid subscriptions. Credit consumption depends on processing, including model tokens, virtual computers and third-party tools, so two tasks with similar prompts can cost different amounts. Monthly subscription credits reset rather than accumulating indefinitely.
The current credit guide limits daily refresh credits to Manus 2.0 Lite and gives free users a monthly cap of 1,500 credits consumed from daily refreshes. Check your account balance and the selected plan before a long run; this cap is different from a promise that every task is free.
It also uses a virtual computer and tools to carry out tasks and create deliverables.
No. Task duration, model processing and other resources affect consumption.
The credit guide says subscription credits reset each month.
It has browsing and research workflows; ask it to preserve dates and source links so you can verify the result.
Use checkpoints for ambiguous requirements and review any action that creates an external commitment.
Use one small deliverable and measure correction time, source quality and credit consumption.
Explore platforms, inputs and outputs, licensing, and access requirements.
Manus is a proprietary cloud agent. Available tools, export formats and integration access depend on the task and account. For repeatable operations, document the input format and acceptance checks instead of relying on a vague instruction such as do the whole project.
A browser-connected agent may work with an authenticated session. Review which accounts and files are available, and keep permission to publish, send messages or spend money explicit. Use sample data for a first run and grant only the access the task needs.
