Turn an outline or source document into a visual presentation, refine it collaboratively, and deliver it as a link or exported file.
Gamma is a hosted tool for creating presentations, visual documents and other shareable content from prompts, outlines or imported material. It combines drafting with layout, so a useful starting point is a structured message rather than an empty slide. The presentation product supports themes, editable content and browser-based delivery.
The strongest reason to try it is reducing the work between an existing argument and its first visual draft. It cannot decide whether that argument is true. Give it verified figures, a target audience and the decision the audience should make. Then evaluate whether the output communicates those facts clearly.

Sample prompt: “Create an eight-card proposal for a small retailer using only this approved brief. Include the problem, evidence, proposed workflow, scope, timeline and decision. Preserve all figures exactly, label missing information, and avoid invented customer quotes. First show the outline. Use short headings and one main point per card.”
Paid plans add different AI, branding and sharing capabilities.
Gamma offers a Free plan and several paid subscriptions. The free tier provides starter credits and currently limits an initial prompt to ten slides, while higher plans add different generation, branding, image and sharing capabilities. Use the official pricing page and checkout for your currency, seat count and billing period; a displayed annual equivalent is not necessarily a monthly payment.
The credit guide distinguishes free credits, which do not refresh, from paid allowances issued monthly. Paid plan credits have a rollover cap; purchased credits are tracked separately. Treat generation and subsequent AI edits as part of the same budget. Manual editing remains a different activity from consuming another AI generation.
Do a full trial workflow before choosing a plan: create the draft, revise it, share it and export it. A plan that covers the first draft may still lack a branding or administrative feature required by the actual handoff.
It can create and present a deck, but your delivery requirements decide. If the recipient needs a specific PowerPoint template or editing behavior, test the exported PPTX before committing.
Yes, the product supports text and document-based starting points. Keep source files clean and distinguish information that must remain exact from wording that may be rewritten.
The official credit guide says free credits do not refresh. Paid subscriptions have different monthly allowances and rollover rules; inspect the balance shown for your workspace.
Treat PDF as a static handoff. A live embed or viewer interaction belongs to the online document, so provide the hosted link when that behavior is part of the experience.
Yes. The developer service provides generation and export workflows. Confirm plan eligibility, authentication and the cost of your intended operations before building volume automation.
No universal mobile rollout was established. The current help page specifies US and Canada early access; availability and desktop parity should be checked separately.
Check every important claim, chart label and link. Open the exported file in the recipient’s application, review access permissions and ensure the final action is understandable.
Explore platforms, inputs and outputs, licensing, and access requirements.
These are editorial suggestions. For each scenario, the useful measure is the time required to reach an approved, readable deliverable, including factual correction and export checks.
Use the web workspace for full editing and final export review. The official mobile guide currently describes iOS and Android early access in the United States and Canada. Other regions can use mobile web. The mobile app has a different feature set, including Agent-based editing rather than complete desktop-style manual editing; check regional store availability.
Exports include PDF, PNG and PPTX, with Google Slides reached by uploading PPTX. Some layout effects can change, and Word export is not currently supported. The exported artifact is therefore a separate acceptance check, especially for a client who will edit it later.
Official integrations include automation platforms and AI-assistant connectors. The developer documentation supports API keys or OAuth, depending on whose account an integration acts for; key access requires an eligible paid plan. Keep credentials in the application’s secret storage, set a usage budget and save the generation result before retrying a job.
Gamma’s terms say it does not claim ownership of your content, while granting it permissions to operate the service. That does not clear rights in uploaded photographs, templates or source documents. Gamma itself is hosted proprietary software; purchasing access does not provide a self-hosting license.
The data-control guide states that individual workspaces allow training by default and provide an opt-out. Organizational workspaces have different protections, with training excluded under the listed organizational plans. Review the actual workspace setting, sharing scope and connected services before introducing confidential material.
