Use the right kind of image reference
Image Prompts guide composition, content and colour; Style References guide the visual treatment. The Edit Model combines images with written editing instructions. A Starting Frame serves a different purpose: it supplies the opening image for a video.
Control motion, looping and video quality
Low Motion favours subtle movement; High Motion asks for larger action and camera changes. Reusing the first frame as the ending frame creates a loop. SD is 480p; 720p HD requires Standard, Pro or Mega and Fast Mode. Pro and Mega also offer SD Relax video.

Data and privacy
Midjourney collects prompts and uploaded content. Creations are public and remixable by default; Stealth does not hide work posted in a shared Discord channel. Data retention depends on the purpose for which it is processed.

Create or sign in to a Midjourney account and choose a subscription. Open Create and enter a prompt in the Imagine bar. Choose a result to refine, download or animate.

Keep assets for later production
Download a video as MP4 or GIF for use in editing and publishing workflows. Images remain saved in the account after cancellation, while new generation still requires service access.
